SHAV offers endless resources and opportunities to network with Communication Sciences and Disorders professionals in the state of Virginia. Why is being part of a professional organization important?

As future professionals, taking part in the legislative process for the CSD field is very important! SHAV is always active in legislative issues affecting our profession. You will have the opportunity to learn about the legislative process and advocate for issues relevant to students!

I’m an out-of-state student. Can I join SHAV?

Out-of-state students can become SHAV members too! Out-of-state students will have access to the same resources and opportunities as in-state students! As an out-of-state student, you will have the opportunity to bring new professional knowledge and advocacy awareness to your state’s professional organization. You will also bring diverse new ideas to the SHAV organization!

How do I join?

Click here to join. Student members can be full or part-time students in speech-language pathology, audiology, or a related field. Verification must be signed by a faculty member. Annual cost is only $22.50!
