The SHAV Advocacy Day 2024 was held on January 15, 2023 in Richmond, Virginia. Like last year, attendees had the option to advocate in-person or virtually. In–person participants got a chance to network with other advocates and meet in-person with legislators at the General Assembly Building in Richmond, VA. Additionally, in-person audiologists conducted hearing screenings for legislators and their staff. Virtual participants had a chance to build their advocacy toolkit and write letters/emails to their legislators, supporting the momentum of in-person participants! This event was free for members and nonmembers. Approximately 15 SHAV members attended SHAV Advocacy Day 2024, reaching over 50 legislators and providing screenings for many legislators and their staff.
